It’s time to play! I’ve created a free 3D printable penguin paper toy, 3 of them to be exact, so just print, assemble, and play (or display).
I love paper toys! There are quite a few on the blog already and you will see many more, for both little ones and big kids (or kids at heart).
These adorable penguins are inspired by the beautiful geometric snowman created by Minieco, this penguin is super cute and I think a flock of penguins would be a great companion for this guy (or gal?).
To make these cute guys, you’ll first need to print out the template (I recommend using thicker paper, regular printer paper will work too).
There are 3 versions so you can own a whole family of penguins.
Black and grey penguin
Blue Penguin
Pink Penguin
Once you have printed out the penguins, it’s time to cut them out (note that there is a small folding diagram on each printable, you don’t need to cut that diagram out).
Once all the pieces are cut, it’s time to fold them. Start making the creases and folds as shown on the diagram included in the printable (do this for both the head and body).
Once you have all the folds made, start assembling your penguin paper toy. Add glue to the edges of the white paper as you go, allowing each section to dry to hold its desired shape, then slowly fold it all together into a geometric shape (you will need to glue the last two edges together).
To make the wings a little curved, wrap them around a pen. Glue them to the body shape. If you haven’t lost the beak (which totally didn’t happen to me, right? 🙂 ) glue it to the head.
Glue the geometric head to the body and you have a penguin paper toy!

Think this is fun? Why not try catching jungle animals? It’s fun for kids. And while we’re talking about jungle animals, why not make a jungle animal flextangle game?
With thousands of printable crafts, activities, worksheets, coloring pages, and drawing tutorials, you’ll always have the resources you need at your fingertips. Perfect for parents and teachers alike!
