This fun paper craft for kids can be adapted for all ages. Some parts can be a little tricky, but most kids will be able to handle at least some of these paper houses themselves (kids will at least enjoy coloring them).

Each pattern for paper house crafts is interesting in its own way. They all come in both black and white versions as well as color-ready versions (perfect for quick rendering).

Because we love to spark creativity, there are also blank paper house sketches so your children can design their own paper buildings. How fun!

Step-by-step instructions

Print paper house templates with 10 different designs; Choose the one your kids like best. All paper doll houses are assembled the same way (more or less).

The first thing you want to do is color in the paper house template. It’s much easier to color first and then move on to cutting.

Once your child is satisfied with the look of his house, it’s time to cut out the house template.

Make sure you cut along all the dotted lines, some of which are so close to the “roff” that they are easy to miss.

Once everything is cut out, make folds around the marked flaps with letter glue.

Tip: you can use a ruler to create beautiful folds.

Also, fold along the lines that form the edges/corners of these paper houses.

Folding the chimney is good.

Optional: you can add a base to your home. Print the corresponding one (they are marked with the names of the buildings) and cut it out.

Then, fold the flaps over.

The base is ready.

If using a base, have your child apply glue to the base flaps and stick it to the house.

Have them slowly work around the sides of the house by attaching the base. Do everything slowly, letting the glue set (sticky glue is best for this because it doesn’t wet the paper).

Currently, the house has a solid foundation.

Now slowly work your way up to the house, applying glue to the flaps marked with the word glue and building the paper house.

Have the child rest the bangs on top of the flaps and glue them together.

The last part, wherever it is, will be the hardest to glue.

Chimney

Last but not least, add a chimney to your paper house.

All has been done!

Isn’t this a super cool papercraft house?
