Apple Jar Craft

Looking for a simple back to school project that your kids can do? Have them make this apple jar craft, fill it with candy or treats, and give it to their favorite teacher.

This project is perfect for fall, you can make a teacher gift or use the LED tea lights for a beautiful evening decoration.

Apple Jar Craft

What you need

  • small glass jar or baby food jar with lid
  • red, green and brown acrylic paint
  • paper straws
  • green paper
  • drag
  • paint brush
  • glue (glue gun recommended)

Clean the jar and let it dry. Paint the jar red (may need several coats) and the lid green.

Allow to dry according to paint instructions (usually takes about 20 to 30 minutes).

Cut a piece of straw, pinch one end shut. Dye it brown.

Cut leaves out of paper. Glue straw to center of lid. Glue leaves to straw.

This little apple jar is now finished and ready to be filled.
