It’s time for the beetles to join the insect party! You’ll really love these butterfly hand puppets because they flap their wings beautifully.
Our bee puppet and ladybug puppet are also fun to play with. And now that the beetles are here, you’re ready to put on a creepy crawly show.
These, along with other bugs, make great classroom crafts for preschool, kindergarten, and higher grades (you can easily make them with or without our template).
Are you ready to make beetles in every color of the rainbow?
Let’s be clever!
What you need:
Optional: glitter, vibrating eye patches
Print our templates. Regular printer paper will work, although it’s best to print on thicker printer paper.
If you want to color our template, we recommend coloring it before cutting, this definitely makes things easier.
No need to keep it within the limit ;).
Cut out all the pieces.
If you are using a template as a stencil – trace the parts onto cardboard – body on black, “wings” on whatever color you want, legs on black (these colors are completely up to you). Glue the “wings” onto the body.
Cut leg.
Fold the legs – accordion style. This will make them wobbly and more whimsical.
Glue them to the bottom of the beetle body.
Attach the strap to the bottom of the body.
With thousands of printable crafts, activities, worksheets, coloring pages, and drawing tutorials, you’ll always have the resources you need at your fingertips. Perfect for parents and teachers alike!
