Ready to get creative? Paper is one of our favorite crafting materials, it is economical, easy to work with, and allows for endless possibilities. It is also a great material to use for classroom crafts because, again, it is extremely economical.
Most of our previous paper crafts were done with scissors but now we have “upgraded” our arsenal with a hole puncher and one thing is for sure – kids love punching paper. So if you are a teacher, you can let your kids punch holes.
We’re starting out with a cute and simple paper circle craft called The Hungry Caterpillar (which is a nod to The Hungry Caterpillar in case you’re reading that).
What you need:
Got all your materials? It’s time to carve! Carve out lots of green circles. These will be the body. Carve out a red or yellow circle for the head. You can also just leave it green.
Glue the green circles onto the light green background. Arrange them in an S shape. Glue works best for this.
Once you are happy with the shape of the caterpillar’s body, add a yellow or red circle. For the head, you can draw eyes and a mouth or you can use wiggle eye stickers for eyes (always fun for kids). Regular goggly eyes are also great.
With thousands of printable crafts, activities, worksheets, coloring pages, and drawing tutorials, you’ll always have the resources you need at your fingertips. Perfect for parents and teachers alike!
