Grab some cotton balls and make this adorable cotton penguin craft – toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners will love this project.
Not long ago we made a cotton ball snowman and we liked it so much that we decided to make a penguin as well (and have another creature in the works).

What you need
Start by cutting out the penguin body shape from white paper.
Cut a small half circle from black paper for the head and two larger half circles for the wings (you can apply these to the body shape now or later). Cut out the beak and legs from orange paper.
Apply a generous amount of glue (we used white glue) to the white penguin shape. Start gluing on cotton balls until the entire white part is covered with cotton. Let it dry for a while.
If you haven’t added the black part yet, add the beak and legs.
We used buttons for the eyes, but you could just as easily cut two circles out of black paper.
You can leave it as is or tape it to a piece of blue paper to make it stand out more.
This craft is perfect to do in both small and large groups.
There are many ways kids can make penguins; they can add wings or leave them out.
While this is a great winter craft, you can make penguins all year round with your kids.
The more the merrier.
