You can customize your ladybug to your liking with different decorations, including flowers and other gems for the face.
Create the cutest little ladybugs with this simple, kid-friendly craft.
What you need:
Gather your supplies on a flat surface, such as the kitchen or dining table.
Take one of your craft sticks and use scissors to cut a line down the middle of the stick – this will help us break it in half.
Carefully bend the craft stick and break it.
Grab your paintbrush and start painting all the craft sticks with red paint.
Set the craft stick aside to dry.
Meanwhile, take black construction paper and a pencil and draw a half circle.
Take your pipe cleaners and bend two of them to form whiskers.
Take the glue and glue the googly eyes onto the black half circle – on the ladybug’s head.
Use glue to attach two whiskers to the back of the head.
Use a white marker to draw a smiling face on the ladybug’s head.
Glue on your decorations to make the ladybug look even more adorable.
We glued tiny flat beads for cheeks and an artificial flower for decoration.
Glue all 8 craft sticks together using the two halves we broke off earlier to create what looks like a small fence.
Glue your ladybug’s head to the craft stick in front of the body.
Place the pipe cleaner down the middle of the ladybug’s body.
Glue your black pom-poms all over the red craft sticks.
Let the glue dry a bit.
Isn’t it cute?!
We love how our ladybugs turned out!
Have a happy spring!
