Dinosaur Silhouette Art

Calling all dinosaur fans! We have a fun and easy dinosaur silhouette art idea to share with you and your kids will love it.

What makes this dinosaur art lesson so great is that it can be done with kids of all ages, even toddlers! You just need to adjust the “difficulty” of the project to suit their skills.

How to create dinosaur silhouette art

What you need:

• printable template (optional)
• pencil
• drag
• glue
• White paper
• black paper
• acrylic paint (red, orange, yellow, black and white)
• paint brush

Step-by-step instructions

Start painting the top of the paper with red paint, then paint the bottom orange.

Let’s go ahead and continue with yellow.

Try to blend the colors where they meet.

You can add as much orange or yellow as you like.

Then you’ll want to finish the bottom with black paint.

Try to blend the colors where they meet.

Draw a large circle for the moon using white paint.

Paint a tree black.

Add details to the tree, as much or as little as you like.

You can add birds to the background with the moon in the environment.

Cut out the silhouette.

Trace it on black paper.

Cut it out and glue the black dinosaur onto the picture.

Dinosaur art is a great guided activity that allows you to be free and creative!
