Disguise a Turkey as a Cowboy Printable Template

Yeehaw, this turkey has nothing to fear because with our disguise, a turkey like printable cowboy template will provide it with a bulletproof camouflage.

With this fun and wild printable, your child will not only have fun making it, but will also love displaying it. The fun part about this turkey disguise craft is that the camouflage can be taken off and on in just a few seconds. One moment you have a normal looking turkey, the next you have a cool looking cowboy.

And the fact that this disguise can be put on and taken off at will makes it all the more interesting.

How to make a turkey in a cowboy outfit

What you need:

• our printable template (you can get the Cowboy costume printable for free at the end of the guide or get the whole set with over 25 costumes).
• coloring materials (markers or crayons are best)
• drag
• glue

Step-by-step instructions

Print the template.

Have your child color the base plate, the one with the rectangle above the turkey, or the one with the words “I am not a turkey, I am…” written on top in colors that will make it look like one. regular turkey.

Get the print that just has the turkey on it. This is where we will disguise ourselves. Ask the children to think about how they want their camouflage to look and color it accordingly.

We colored the turkey’s tail green to look like a tree in the background, and the body the same color as the skin.

Also color the camouflage parts. Cut out the camouflage parts and the turkey you colored.

Gluing on the camouflage parts, we start with the pants.

Added shirt.

A bandana…

And a cowboy hat.

Now take the paper where you colored the turkey using regular turkey colors. Fold along the dotted line on that printout.

Apply glue to the middle of the fold.

And stick the turkey disguised as a cowboy on top.

All done!

Your child can now put on the disguise or take it off at will.

Add writing sheets and encourage your child to write about dressing up.
