This Thanksgiving, our turkey has decided to wear a police uniform, paying tribute to the men and women dedicated to upholding the values of justice and safety. With its ruffled feathers forming a makeshift uniform, this turkey aims to highlight the importance and appreciation of those who serve.
Pssst, we also have a disguised firefighter turkey that goes well with this one.

What you need:
The best paper for this is printer paper or heavier cardstock, but using regular printer paper is also quite good.
You could just make a disguised turkey (you’ll just need the print with the turkey’s outline and accessories), but we feel this project really shines if you do it in a way that disguises Can be put on and taken off quickly with just one simple operation. turn the paper over.
Print out the paper that says “I am not a turkey, I am…” and let the children color it. This one looks like a regular turkey without camouflage.
Print another sheet with the turkey border. This is where we will disguise ourselves as policemen/policewomen. We decided our turkey would be completely disguised. To look human, we color the body and head according to the skin tone.
You can leave the feathery tails white or you can also have your child color it green to look like a bush.
Next, have children color the uniform parts.
Cut the parts uniformly and outline the turkey.
Apply glue to the camouflage parts and stick them on the turkey.
Dark sunglasses are a must!
Now take the paper with the normal looking turkey and fold it along the dotted line at the bottom.
Apply a small amount of glue just below the turkey.
And glue your police officer’s camouflage turkey on the fold. Make sure it is neatly aligned with the regular turkey below.
All has been done!
With our police officer turkey disguise template, your child can now dress up as a turkey.
And take it off in a second.
