How to make your own Christmas paper wreaths easily

What you need:

  • drag
  • glue
  • colored paper (yellow and red)
  • decorative beads or a button
  • red thread

Step-by-step instructions

wreath

Start by folding the paper (yellow) in half.

Once folded in half, make another fold at the top (along the length).

Make sure the folds are nice and crisp.

Hold the folded paper and start making slits with scissors, cutting strips at the same time until you reach the fold you made.

Open the paper and apply glue to the top fold (one side only).

Now gently bring the ends together, aligning the paper tube with the folds and glue them together.

Apply light pressure so it stays in place.

Cut one or two strips (now paper rings) from one end of your tube.

Apply glue to the unmarked part.

Stretch the paper roll and tape it together to form a flower-shaped circle.

Bow

Cut out a red square.

Fold it diagonally in half.

Fold it again.

Now make an incision almost to the middle of the square.

Make sure not to go all the way – we don’t want to cut off the triangles.

Apply glue to the middle of the square and bend the ends of a triangle toward the center.

Repeat the process on the opposite triangle.

Now, carefully cut out a triangle.

We want to cut a smaller triangle from the larger triangle.

Slit along the outside lines of the triangle toward the center.

After cutting the triangle, we have to cut a small triangle from both ribbons.

Apply glue and place a bead neatly in the center of the bow.

You can also use a button or anything similar.

Cut a piece of red yarn, form a circle and glue it to the back of the bow.

Glue the bow onto the yellow wreath.

Your easy DIY Christmas paper Christmas wreath ornament is complete!

Place it anywhere you like – use it as a Christmas tree decoration, as a gift decoration or hang it in the front door or window.
