Easter Cootie Catchers – Bunny and Chick Origami for Kids

We want to share with you a new fortune telling set again, this time we will share two bunnies and a chick in this printable Easter lice catching set.

If you haven’t played with this origami project before (perfect for kids and beginners) just give it a try, they are really easy to make and kids can play with them once they are finished. Also great for story time.

Easter Cootie Catchers – Printable Fortune Tellers

We just love making and playing with these. They are the best! And if you are an origami fan and want to get your kids involved in this fun art, we can’t think of a better project to start with.

These cute items can be used in so many different ways during Easter (or any time really). Setting up an Easter scavenger hunt? Why not have the kids search for these? Definitely healthier than candy.

Or follow the step-by-step instructions below

Start by cutting out the templates. We’ll show you how to make a pink bunny – you’ll also find a blue bunny made the same way and a chick.

We use regular printer paper to make these.

Fold the square in half as shown in the image below. Unfold it and fold it in half again on the other side. This will make it easier to fold the mousetrap.

Place the paper so that the white side of the paper is facing you. Begin folding the corners to the center as shown below.

Fold all the corners in.

Turn your Easter throw blanket over so the white side is facing you. Fold the corners in toward the center.

Repeat with all 4 corners.

Fold it in half – the side facing you will be on the inside.

There will be four small squares that are open at the corners. Use your fingers to pull them outwards, and the middle part will fold inwards a little. You should now have the shape of a louse.

Cut out the food and the legs. Use glue and stick them in place.

Your flea trap is now complete! Add a green bunny and a chick and you have an adorable Easter flea trap!
