Felt Christmas Tree Ornaments

  • green felt
  • brown felt
  • topic
  • small buttons in different colors
  • Larger button (optional)
  • needle
  • fgood fabric scissors
  • stuffing (real, cotton, rags)
  • felt glue (optional, but handy)
  • ribbon to hang

Cut small triangles from green felt. You will need 2 for 1 ornament. Cut a small rectangle from brown felt. Cut ribbon for hanging.

Sew the buttons onto one green triangle (a hot glue gun works too). Make a loop out of ribbon and place it onto the other triangle (we helped ourselves with glue dots to hold the ribbon in place)

Sew the ribbon to the triangles. Now place the green triangle with the button on top of the other triangle. Place the brown rectangle between the triangles (secure with a little felt glue). Begin sewing around the edges, all the way around the green triangles.

When you have completed half of the ornament, add some cotton to it to give it a nice full shape. Continue sewing until you have completed the whole piece. Tie a knot.
