If you already know how to draw a pumpkin, drawing a Jack O’lantern will be a piece of cake, if not, don’t worry, it’s really simple too! This drawing tutorial is great for kids and beginners alike – you won’t believe how easy it is (and the end result is amazing!)
Are you ready to get started? We are!
What you need:
Start drawing the outer edges of the pumpkin – the C and just the curved part of the D.
Next, create 3 arches connecting the top endpoints of the curves (it’s okay if you only create two or more). Also, create 3 inverted arches connecting the bottom endpoints of the curves.
Draw a mouth on your Jack o’lantern. Cute, scary, simple, or complex. It’s up to you.
Next are the eyes and nose. Triangles are the simplest but like the mouth – you can make any shape you see fit.
Color the mouth, nose and eyes black.
Next are the lines on the pumpkin.
Almost done.
There are a few more arches behind.
And the final detail.
And that’s it, you’ve learned how to draw a pumpkin lantern!
Color your pumpkin lantern.
