How to Make a Paper Frog Craft

Learn how to make a paper frog craft that is both simple and cute. While this frog won’t jump, it will look great hanging on your wall or on your refrigerator.

We will show you step by step how to create this pattern without a template but we also provide a template so you can create a similar pattern.

When it comes to spring crafts, frogs are a popular theme – they’re great for crafting purposes, as well as for learning (just check out our frog life cycle pattern).

How to make paper frog crafts

What you need:

  • Our handmade sample (optional)
  • paper of different colors
  • drag
  • glue

Step by step instructions

Prepare a base for your craft. The base can be any color.

Cut a strip of green paper to make the body, glue the two ends together to make a paper roll.

Apply glue to the paper roll…

…and glue it to the base (bottom half of the base).

Make another roll of paper, slightly smaller than the first roll, to make the frog’s head.

Cut two ovals for eyes and glue them onto the frog.

Add eyes (you can use googly eyes, stickers, or draw your own eyes).

Cut out a pair of hind legs and glue them to the bottom of the body.

Cut out the two front legs and glue them to the frog’s body.

Draw the mouth.

Cut a strip of red paper to make the tongue and glue it below the mouth outline.

Done! You have learned how to make a paper frog craft.
