There are still lots of leaves outside so we decided to make this adorable leaf ladybug craft since we have been seeing a lot of these adorable bugs lately.

There are many ways you can make leaf crafts, a while ago we made a leaf hedgehog.

Ladybug Leaf Craft

What you will need:

  • round leaf
  • red
  • brush (we like foam brushes for this project)
  • permanent black marker
  • Googly eyes

This craft is super easy but there is one thing you need to make sure of – the leaves must be as dry as possible otherwise they will curl. You can place them between sheets of paper and press them down with a book to dry and prevent them from curling.

Once the leaves are ready, paint them red. Let them dry. Once the leaves are dry, draw a line through the middle and a semi-circle at one end. Paint the semi-circle. Now draw 7 black dots.

Finish with a bulging eye!

Although this leaf ladybug craft looks cutest when it is red, you can still make them in many other colors as these cut out beetles come in yellow, orange, white, black and even more colors.
