Handmade sunflower leaves

What you need

  • gold leaf (or any other color and gold paint)
  • brown construction paper
  • white school glue
  • tape
  • drag
  • green paper straws

Cut two circles for each sunflower from brown cardstock (we used masking tape to make circle templates).

If you don’t find any yellow leaves, you can dye them. Let them dry before continuing.

Apply a generous amount of glue to the brown circle. Glue the leaves around it.

Add enough glue to the first layer of leaves (on the brown circle area). Add another layer of leaves.

Add enough glue and stick it on another brown circle. Press down to let the glue set.

Cover a green paper straw with some masking tape. Allow the white glue to dry completely (or partially). Your leaf sunflower craft is complete.
