Mason Jar Fairy House Craft

If you have a bunch of jars and are thinking of ways to reuse them, this glass jar fairy house might be just the project you can do with your kids!

It’s simple to make and makes a great gift for friends and family as it can be used as a candle holder (among other things).

First you will have to get the label of the jar – I add some vinegar to a bucket of water and let the jar soak for half an hour and remove the label with a sponge (it takes a bit of rubbing). Let them dry.

Cut out doors and windows – I used some see through tape (and I use the word adhesive very loosely here) the tape wasn’t very good but it ended up being good enough – usually magnetic stickers most effective album or regular tape. Glue them to the jar and paint the jar and lid white (I used acrylic spray glue). Let it dry.

Remove doors and windows – if paint gets on the sticker, you can remove it with nail polish remover.

Use a sharpie (or any other permanent marker) and get creative. You can naturally use paint and brushes, but markers will make things much easier.
