New Year’s Eve Rice Shaker Craft

Are you ready for the longest night of the year? If you need something creative for the kids, why not make this cute New Year’s Eve rice jar craft.

This product will keep kids busy with craft work and they get to play with it after they’re done, so the fun is doubled!

New Year rice jar

Materials:

Craft paperRoll of toilet paperA handful of dry riceClear tapeSchool glueScissors

For decoration: Glitter glue Craft paint Decorations of your choice!

What to do:

Cut a square of cardboard (one square at each end). Place the square on one end and tape each side. (see photo) Trim off any excess corners (see photo) Wrap a piece of tape around the cardboard to reinforce the taped end. (see photo) Turn the toilet paper roll upside down so that the taped end is flat on the table. Place a handful of rice inside the toilet paper roll. Repeat the above steps to cover and tape the open end.

Cut a rectangle from another piece of construction paper, long enough to wrap around the toilet paper roll. This will also hide the unsightly ends of the tape. Glue the seam. Let dry.

Decorate to your liking!
