Would you like to color a bunch of them? Print out the Flower Coloring Pages collection and color them all.

It’s spring, chrysanthemums everywhere.

We are happy that our garden is full of chrysanthemums – they never stop growing and no matter how many plants you cut or pull, more and more flowers pop out of the ground.

What we like to do every spring is make chrysanthemum crowns and wear them around our heads.

We also love that we can do all of our projects outdoors, enjoying the sunshine, the smells, and the butterflies flying around.

And today, this chrysanthemum craft we’re making is about appreciating spring and all the good things it brings us, so come along and make a craft!

How to make paper chrysanthemums

What you need:

  • red paper
  • green crepe paper
  • pencil
  • compass
  • ruler
  • yellow pom poms
  • White paper
  • hot glue
  • drag

Step-by-step instructions

Receptacle

Draw a rectangle measuring 8 x 13 cm on red paper and cut it out with scissors.

Take your scissors and round the edges.

chrysanthemum

Draw two circles with a diameter of 6.5 cm on white paper and cut them out.

Take the circles, place them on top of each other and make four cuts.

Make sure you don’t cut completely in a circle, but make small cuts (about 2 cm long).

Make multiple cuts around the circles to form the chrysanthemum petals.

Round each petal.

Put a dot of hot glue in the center of one of the flowers and glue the flowers together to create a daisy.

Apply some hot glue to the pom-pom and stick it in the middle of the daisy.

Bring the petals towards the middle of the flower.

Apply some glue around the pom-pom and attach the bottom of the petal to the pom-pom.

Trunk

Take a sheet of green crepe paper (about 8 cm long and 2.5 cm wide).

Roll it up to form the stem for the chrysanthemum.

Apply some hot glue to the back of the flower and attach the stem.

Take the chrysanthemum and glue it onto the red card.

Attach three white circles to the right side of the card as details.

All has been done!

We hope you have fun doing this project.
