Paper Jack O’Lantern

Let’s “carve” some Paper Jack O’Lanterns! This is a great Halloween craft for kids because it can easily double as a decoration.

We made Jack O’Lanterns from toilet paper rolls a few days ago and the spooky fun continues!

Jack O’Lantern Paper Lantern Craft

What you need

  • 2 sheets of orange letter size paper or A4 size paper
  • black paper
  • drag
  • glue
  • string

Fold the paper in half to form an accordion. Fold it in half again and tie it with string. Tape it together.

Do the same with the second sheet of paper. Now tie them together and tape them together. You have a paper pinwheel!

Cut out scary (or cute) faces for your Jack O’Lantern. Glue them to the pinwheel (white school glue worked great for us, although I think a low-temperature glue gun would be better).

These little pumpkins would look great on windows, doors, walls or hung from the ceiling, twisting and turning in the air.
