How to make palm tree paper crafts

What you need:

  • printable template (optional)
  • white cardboard
  • colored paper (light brown, dark brown, light blue, dark blue and green)
  • three brown pom-poms (optional)
  • pencil
  • drag
  • glue

Step-by-step instructions

Prepare a white cardboard base – you can also use paper from a cereal box; This is a great way to recycle them.

We will create ocean waves from two different colors of construction paper, blue and light blue.

Cut a rectangle from both sheets of paper. Then cut a wavy line on one side of the rectangle.

We made four, two from green paper and two from light blue paper. Glue them to the background, with the waves slightly overlapping each other.

Cut the beach out of brown paper and glue it at the bottom.

Let your child cut out a palm tree trunk shape from dark brown paper, then glue it to the beach and over the waves.

The easiest way to make a leaf is to fold a green paper rectangle in half and cut it into a semi-ellipse (leaf shape).

Have children cut the folded leaves into tassels (don’t ask them to cut the folded part).

Apply glue to half of the leaf and stick it to the palm of your hand.

Repeat the process until there are four (or more) leaves on your palm tree.

The palm tree has been decorated with four interesting palm leaves, giving the craft a vibrant and lush tropical look.

Add a few coconuts to the palm tree. You can cut paper circles from brown paper and glue them to the tree, or let the kids glue brown pom poms (or crinkled tissue paper) to the palms of their hands.
