Paper Plate Apple Craft

We just love making crafts with paper plates. A pack of paper plates doesn’t cost much (preferably uncoated), so create lots of great creations with your kids.

How to make Apple Craft paper plates

What you need:

• paper plate
• craft paint (red or other apple color)
• green and brown paper
• drag
• paintbrush
• adhesive

Step-by-step instructions

Get a paper plate.

Start by painting the paper plate. Your child can choose just one color (red, yellow or green are the most popular choices here) or use a more colorful combination to make their apple. Paint the entire surface and let the paint dry.

Once dry, have your child shape an apple. Have them cut a rounded “V” shape from top to bottom.

Cut a rectangle from brown paper.

Trim the edges a bit to give it more of a tree trunk shape.

Glue the stem onto the apple.

Next, have children cut leaves out of green paper.

Have the child fold the green rectangle in half (this will give the leaf more dimension).

Now cut out the leaf shape (in half).

Open it and the leaf is complete.

Complete the apple paper plate by gluing the leaf next to the stem.
