What you need:

  • 1 paper plate
  • autumn leaves
  • light brown paint
  • paint brush
  • Googly eyes
  • black marker
  • drag
  • glue (white school glue or glue gun – you can buy the low temperature type for kids)

Making:

Paint the paper plate brown. Let the paint dry completely.

Cut it in half.

Tape the two halves together – most paper plates will support your hedgehog if you tape the two halves together.

Mark the head area (leave no leaves). Apply a generous amount of glue and start gluing the leaves. Let each layer of leaves harden a little. Once you are happy with the shape of your paper plate hedgehog craft, glue on googly eyes and draw a nose and mouth. Isn’t this guy cute?
