We have a wicked witch windsock, a vampire windsock, and a Frankenstein windsock (or Frankenstein monster if we’re being precise). They’re available as pre-colored crafts or as black and white Halloween craft templates that kids can color themselves. If they’re really into coloring, make sure you check out our collection of Halloween coloring pages too.

How to Make a Printable Halloween Wind Sock

What you need:

  • our printable templates
  • drag
  • glue
  • tissue paper or old newspaper
  • Coloring supplies if you are printing a black and white template

Step by step instructions

Print the templates, one or all. The first thing you need to do is color the sections (if printing the template in black and white).

After coloring or if you printed the color version, cut out all the pattern pieces.

For the Frankenstein monster, glue the hair onto the head before you roll it up. This is easier.

Glue the two ends together to form a roll.

Allow the glue to dry before proceeding to the next steps.

Attach any “accessories” – bolts for Frankenstein’s monster, a nose for a witch, a bow and cape for a vampire.

Cut tissue paper or newspaper into long strips.

Glue a strip onto the roll of paper, forming a loop. This will be the handle for our Halloween wind tunnel.

Glue the remaining strips to the bottom.

All has been done!

Your printable Halloween wind socks are ready to hang.
