Simple Bee Art Idea – Stamping with Corks

We have a super simple art project that’s suitable for all ages, simple enough for toddlers to do (with a little help), and beautiful enough that you’ll want to do it too.

Wine corks are really great sealers, and even if you’re not a wine lover, you can buy a set at most stores and they’re really cheap. And it’s amazing how many different things you can create with just a simple circle.

If you need a quick and easy piece of art, why not make these adorable little bees? It doesn’t take much effort to make these wonderful little bugs.

They’ll look great on canvas or on your own spring-themed cards. And once you’ve mastered the bee, there are plenty of other creations you can make with cork – like these adorable stamped chicks we shared a while back… Or you could make other bugs – ladybugs are just as easy to make, or you could go even further and make butterflies. There are so many possibilities.

Ready to get stamping? Let’s get started!

Make this simple bee art idea

What you need:

  • Wine cork
  • Craft paint in yellow, pink and green
  • Small white canvas
  • Paintbrush
  • Sharpie Marker

Instruct

Prepare the paint. We will start by making some flowers. Dip the cork in the “flower” paint. Stamp out 4 circles that form the flower shape.

Next, clean the cork or use a new cork and dip it in yellow paint and press it onto the fabric to form a circle for the bee.

Draw the stem of the flower with green (using a paintbrush).

Alternatively, you can also draw with a green marker.

Allow the paint to dry before continuing.

Once the paint is dry, use a black marker to draw details on the bee.
