We love making summer crafts (check out our 3D Octopus Paper Craft and learn with our printable Summer Quiet Book).
What you need:
This summer paper craft only takes 30-40 minutes to make. Once you have everything cut out, you will have an umbrella and sun in no time.
Start by folding a sheet of white paper in half.
Cut waves from pieces of blue paper. You will want waves in different colors.
Start layering and gluing the corrugated layers onto the white paper.
You can use light blue followed by dark blue to create an interesting color contrast.
Create a sand-like effect by using a piece of light yellow/brown paper on the bottom.
You’ll also want to cut out the sun!
If you cut out multiple circles, you can create a 3D effect for the sun.
Paste the sun as shown below.
Cut a long stem to make an umbrella.
Cut out the umbrella in the color of your choice and glue it to the paper.
Continue gluing the first layer of the umbrella.
Take another color and glue it down as shown.
This gives the umbrella a very cool 3D effect.
This summer paper craft will get you started on summer.
