This clever idea combines Easter coloring pages with Easter crafts, the best of both worlds.

You can print the egg outlines on colored paper or let your child decorate them themselves before adding them to the coloring sheet.

How to make a 3D Easter chick coloring page

What you need:

Step-by-step instructions

Print out the template for the 3D Easter chick coloring page. There are two sizes, one for the coloring page that spans the entire page and one for the coloring printed on half the page.

Help your child carefully cut out all the parts from the template.

Let your child color the paper (and optionally, the eggs).

You will need at least 4 egg shapes to make a 3D Easter egg, but your child can use more to make the egg even fuller.

Color the eggs or use them as stencils to draw on colored paper.

The Easter eggs are ready for the next step.

Fold each egg in half lengthwise along the center.

All four should be folded.

Apply glue to one half of the egg and carefully glue the two halves together.

Open the shape to create a 3D Easter egg.

Have children glue Easter eggs onto the chick template.

Repeat this process with blue paper (or any color you choose) to create another 3D Easter egg.

All has been done!

Happy Easter!
