From small eggs on leaves…

…to the larvae that hatch from them…

…turns into a chrysalis…

…and develop into an adult ladybug.

How to make 3D Ladybug Life Cycle

What you need:

Step-by-step instructions

Print out templates – pre-colored templates or black and white 3d ladybug life cycle models. With a black and white model, the first step you need to take is coloring.

After coloring, cut out the pattern parts – the background…

…and life cycle stages.

Take the background and fold it along the dashed lines.

Make sure the folds are nice and crisp.

Apply glue to the designated area.

And glue the background together. Repeat three more times so you have four foundations, one for each stage of the life cycle.

Let’s take the first step. Apply glue to the designated area…

…and glue the egg-shaped leaf onto the background.

Optionally add a label for the lifecycle stage.

Next is the larvae.

And the pupa…

And finally, the ladybug is fully grown.

Now let’s take the first two stages of the lifecycle and tie them together.

Add Tuesday and Wednesday. Let the glue set (you can use clothespins to hold the parts together while the glue works its magic).

All has been done!
