Download two free printable 4th of July word search puzzles (with answer sheets!) for a fun and simple activity to add to your Independence Day celebration.
Hello colorists!
Summer is here and we are starting to plan our 4th of July activities.
These free 4th of July word search games for kids are great to use at cookouts and barbecues so kids have something fun and challenging to do while waiting for the night’s fireworks display!
We have two levels to choose from so you can find something for everyone! Plus, all of our word search games have an extra layer of fun as they can also be coloured in as kids complete the puzzle!
(Speaking of coloring pages, be sure to download our free printable 4th of July coloring pages before you go.)
If you want to have the answer sheet ready, scroll down to the bottom of the post to download the entire word search question and answer pack.
Terms of Use: Print as many copies as needed for your child, student, after school group, camper, church group, etc. To share, please use the link to this page. Please do not sell, email, share digital copies online, or distribute them in any way for any other purpose. Thanks!
Whether you have a young child just starting to learn to read or an older sibling who likes a challenge, there are two difficulty levels to download.
Below you will find easy download buttons for each worksheet.
Additionally, at the end of this post, we have a larger download package that includes both the 4th of July word search questions and corresponding answer sheets (in case anyone needs a little help!).
The first level is perfect for younger children, with larger fonts and simpler word lists. This word search game includes vocabulary that is easily associated with Independence Day, such as red, white, and blue, along with flags, stars, etc. As children search for these words, they not only build their reading skills, but also solidify their understanding of the theme of the holiday.
This smaller word search game is a great choice for beginning readers. The puzzle contains large letters with 10 words that are easy for young children to read. Also, there are no cross words.
For older children, the second level offers more complex puzzles. The font is slightly smaller and the word list includes longer words suitable for more advanced readers.
There are 20 Independence Day words hidden in this puzzle! Can you find them all? Get this printable for better readers who want a bit more of a challenge. The words in this puzzle go in every direction except backwards.
Anyone stuck? Or, would you like to get both word searches with answers available? If so, download the PDF for a 4-page bundle that includes both July 4 word searches along with their answers.
Thanks for stopping by and good luck with this word search challenge!
