If you are planning lessons for the beginning of the school year, the All About Me theme is a great theme to start the school year.
This book is great for preschool and kindergarten and is a project that can be broken up over the course of a week (or longer).
What you need:
You can’t have an All About Me book without writing your name. On this page, kids write their name and count the number of letters in their name.
Let your child create his or her own portrait. A mirror can be a great help with this activity. Provide your child with a variety of materials to use for the portrait – from simple coloring materials to scraps of paper or yarn for hair.
Children write their age and cut and glue the number of candles onto the cake. Great for practicing simple scissor skills.
Getting your hands dirty is definitely fun! Let the kids stamp their hands on this page.
Talk about colors. What is their favorite color? What is their eye color and hair color.
