How to make a bird clothespin

What you need:

Step by step instructions

Start by printing one (or all) of our printable bird clothespin puppet templates. These work best when printed on thicker cardstock/printing paper.

With the colored version, let your child color the designs before moving on to cutting. This is much easier.

Cut out the outline of the bird.

Also cut along the “mouth” line.

Apply glue to the clip part of the clothespin – if you are using a wooden clothespin, glue should do the job just fine.

Glue the head and body to the clothespin.

Done!

Your bird clothespin puppets are ready to play.
