Tissue Paper Jellyfish Craft

What we love most about this tissue paper jellyfish craft is how they dance in the air! Hang them on a string and watch the magic happen every time the wind blows (or the AC turns on).

This summer craft for kids is a quick project – great for rainy days or to do in a classroom with a group of kids (also makes great decoration).

How to make tissue paper jellyfish crafts

What you need:

  • Our handmade samples
  • paper
  • coloring materials
  • tissue paper (or other)
  • drag
  • glue
  • optional: rope for hanging

Step by step instructions

Print out the template. This craft will look best printed on cardstock/construction paper.

Color the jellyfish. We love markers but there are many different coloring materials you can use – watercolors, crayons, ink…

Once you have colored the jellyfish, cut it out.

Also, cut a few extra strips of tissue paper (or other type).

Turn the jellyfish head over and apply glue to the back (a line on the bottom will do).

Glue each strip of tissue paper one at a time – using multiple colors will make your jellyfish look really pretty.

You can also add a string for hanging.

Apply glue to the remaining part of the jellyfish head…

…and paste it on the first one.

Done! Your Jellyfish is complete.
