You don’t have to be a fan of insects to go crazy for these clothespin puppets. And oh my gosh, we have so many! You’ll find a set of 4 ladybugs, 4 different bees (including a bumblebee), 4 caterpillars, and 4 butterflies. From friendly-looking ones to goofy-faced ones, as well as a few angry-looking bugs.
These are super easy to make, just print them out on cardboard, cut them out and stick them on clothespins and you’re good to go.
Yes, yes, yes…
Or this friendly bee.
What a cute smile!
What you need
Print out our templates. Each beetle comes in both a black and white version and a pre-colored version (and is oriented both right and left).
If you print the black and white version, the first thing you need to do (which is definitely easier) is color the puppet.
Apply glue to the clothespin or the back of the puppet. For wooden clothespins, any type of glue will work, while for plastic clothespins, we recommend using glue dots or a glue gun.
You can also print out a version of the puppet facing the opposite direction and glue it to the back of a clothespin.
Done! Your Bugs clothespin puppet is ready to play.
