How to make cardboard crafts Snow globe

What you need:

  • carton
  • pencil
  • acrylic paint (blue and red)
  • paint brush
  • pencil
  • colored paper (blue and brown)
  • artificial snow
  • glue
  • Braided wire
  • drag
  • Star-shaped confetti
  • shiny beads
  • transparent foil or protective sheet

Materials used

Step-by-step instructions

Print out the snow globe template, then cut it out.

Step 1

Draw the pattern on cardboard three times and cut them out.

Step 2

Background

Paint a piece of cardboard blue.

You just made the background for the snow globe.

Step 3

Top frame

We’ll need two frames, so cut the insides out on two sheets of cardboard.

Now use one of the covers with a blank interior.

Paint it red.

Step 4

Christmas Tree Design

Draw a pine tree on green paper and cut it out.

Step 5

Cut off the stem for your tree.

Step 6

Add the Christmas tree to the trunk.

Add small shiny beads (sequins) to the tree.

At this point, you can add any decorations you want!

Step 8

Glue the tree to the cardboard that you painted blue and add some star-shaped confetti to it.

Step 9

Middle frame

It’s time to use our second frame (the cardboard we cut out the inside of).

Glue it on top of the blue cardboard shaped like a tree.

Step 10

Take artificial snow and add it to the design.

Throw the pieces in the middle – don’t stick the snow because we want the snow pieces to move around as we complete our project.

Step 11

Transparent part

Use a pen to mark around the red frame on the transparent foil – you can use a protective sheet or any other transparent material.

We need a piece of transparent foil that is larger than our “hole” in the frame.

Step 12

Our clear foil will cover the part where our tree is.

Cut the foil and glue it onto the cardboard frame.

Now our snowflakes are stuck in the middle and can move freely.

Step 13

Glue the red frame on top.

Step 14

Now with everything together, you will add the twine.

Step 15

After adding twine, you’ll have a beautiful cardboard snow globe craft that you can enjoy during the holidays.

Step 16

The great thing about this activity is that you can add anything you want to the center of the globe.
