If you read Christmas stories with your kids, these fun paper puppets will make story time even more fun (also check out these printable Christmas puppets or this fun reindeer puppet template)! Not to mention they can be used for dramatic play.
There are 4 fun designs, reindeer and Santa you can get from our website and the remaining set (elf and gift box) is available at Red Ted Art.
Kids really enjoy making and playing with these, and it’s also a great origami project.
Cut out template. Fold in half twice, making sure folds are crisp, and unfold.
The paper should be facing you with the white side down. Fold all 4 corners in toward the center. Make sure the folds are crisp.
Turn over and fold all corners to the center. Notice the sharp creases ;).
Now fold it in half again to make a rectangle. The fold is sharp. You can fold it in half again, just to make a sharper fold and open it up into a rectangle.
There are openings on one side, push your fingers into the openings and gently push and wiggle around until you get a louse catch.
So I’m sharing this adorable couple. They make a great Christmas team don’t they, I can’t imagine Santa without Rudolph, probably because Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is one of my favorite childhood movies – I watched it 20 times at Christmas (had the VHS tape – writing this makes me feel old haha).
