Chat hearts have become a staple of Valentine’s Day. But what if you have too many? Well, create a chat heart on Canvas art.
This is also a lovely homemade Valentine’s Day gift idea.
Want to make something sweet for Valentine’s Day? No pun intended (or is there?).
This DIY tutorial is best suited for older kids (and kids at heart) as the best way to do it is with a glue gun, but you can also purchase a low-temperature glue gun that is safe for younger kids to use (and just as great for this project, it helps with fine motor skills).
This is a great Valentine’s Day craft idea to do with your teens and even though it’s made from candy, you can still seal it to keep it longer.
What you need:
If you plan to seal it and use it as a display piece for years to come – resin is a great option (adults only), sealing spray can also provide protection.
Spread out a sheet of newspaper before starting to protect the surface and make cleanup easier afterwards.
Paint the top and sides of the fabric pink and let dry.
Stick 3 hearts next to the top middle part, gradually stick them up to the right side on the right side and the left side on the left side.
Glue the hearts onto the fabric connecting the edges together to create a heart shaped border.
Display! But don’t eat! 🙂
