Handmade Octopus Puzzle

What you need

  • 10 ice cream sticks
  • orange acrylic paint
  • white acrylic paint
  • black acrylic paint
  • small paintbrush
  • pencil
  • tape

Instruct –

#1. Arrange the popsicle sticks evenly and tape the back to keep them in place. #2. Turn the popsicle sticks upside down and use a pencil to sketch out a rough outline of an octopus. I drew this by hand. It doesn’t have to be perfect and the kids won’t notice if it isn’t. #3. Once you’ve finished sketching, you can start drawing Hank.

#4. Use a small brush to paint on the body and tentacles. Let dry and repeat if necessary.

#5. After the orange paint is dry, use white acrylic paint to draw 2 white eyes for Hank. Let it dry. #6. Finally, use black acrylic paint to draw small black dots on the white background for Hank and let it dry. #7. When Hank is completely dry, you can remove the tape on the back of the popsicle sticks and assemble them into a puzzle.
