How to make jellyfish with Crepe paper
What you need:
- pencil
- drag
- glue
- blue crepe paper
- black cardboard
- toilet paper roll
- two big round eyes
- ruler
- black lining
- craft knife
Let’s get started!
Step-by-step instructions
Body
Mark a line 3 cm away on the toilet paper roll.
Cut along the line with scissors or use a craft knife.
Cut a piece of blue crepe paper large enough to cover the rolled piece of paper.
Apply some glue to the roll of paper and then wrap the piece of roll in blue crepe paper.
Place the roll of paper on a piece of black cardboard and draw a circle.
Draw two extensions to the circle.
Cut out a circle with an extension.
Glue it onto a piece of blue crepe paper.
Cut the excess crepe paper around the circle.
Apply a little glue to the joints and attach them to the inside of the paper roll so that the circle completely closes one end of the paper roll.
This will be the jellyfish’s body.
Stick the googly eyes on the jellyfish.
Take a black liner and draw a small round mouth.
tentacles
Take a piece of blue crepe paper and make some cuts on it as shown.
These strips will be the tentacles of the jellyfish.
Fold this piece in a zig-zag pattern.
Just like you fold an accordion.
Use scissors to go around the tentacles (cutting curves in and out) to make them wavy.
Open the tentacles.
Twist the top part where the tentacles meet with your fingers.
Apply some glue to the top part.
Stick the tentacles inside the toilet paper roll.
Use your fingers to press the crepe paper until the glue dries.
All done!
Our jellyfish is ready to swim in the water and have fun!
