We have a great turkey craft idea to share with you, and it comes with a free printable template.
This Thanksgiving craft is great for using smaller strips of paper. You can also turn it into a recycling project by swapping construction paper for painted magazines or newspapers.

November is the best month to make all kinds of turkey crafts with kids, in particular, this one is great for children of preschool age and up because it requires some fine motor skills pure. If you do this with young children, you can adjust and ask them to just stick the strips of paper without curling them.
They look great displayed on a bulletin board (as does our fun print disguising a turkey craft).
What you need:
Cut out several strips of paper. Ours are cut to the length of a letter-sized sheet of paper and they are about a finger wide. You can make them shorter, longer, wider or thinner.
If you’re making this turkey craft in a classroom, it’s best to prepare at least some of the strips in advance.
Color in the template and cut it out.
To make things easier, place the template in the middle of a sheet of construction paper and create a partial border. This will make gluing the paper strips easier.
Apply glue to the construction paper or on one end of the paper strip.
Glue the first strip of paper onto the construction paper.
Continue with the other strips of paper, paying attention to the placement of the turkey outline.
It’s best to wait a bit for the glue to dry before proceeding. Once the glue dries, take the first strip of paper and spin it around once or twice…
…and apply glue to the tip of the paper strip and stick the end onto the construction paper.
Depending on the type of glue you use, you may need to press the paper strip down for a while to let the glue set before moving on to the next strip of paper.
Continue with all the other paper strips.
Take the turkey body, apply glue.
Glue the turkey onto the rolled up sheets of paper.
Add turkey legs. We hope you also appreciate our little helper.
Glue both legs onto the turkey and you’re done.
We love how colorful this curly turkey craft is.
With thousands of crafts, activities, worksheets, coloring pages, and drawing guides to print, you’ll always have the resources you need at hand. Perfect for both parents and teachers!
