We’ve shared how to dress up as a mermaid as well as how to dress up as a witch turkey and now it’s time to dress up as a snowman. If your kids are fans of snowmen or Frozen and Olaf, they might want to learn how to disguise a turkey as a snowman – and with our printables, it’s really that easy.

What makes our prints super fun is that the camouflage can be put on and taken off. A few moments later you have your usual looking turkey and then with a simple flip of the paper the snowman will be disguised.

How to assemble a printable turkey-as-snowman disguise template

What you need

  • our printable template (grab it near the end of the instructions – just the snowman or our entire 25+ character set)
  • color supplies
  • drag
  • glue

Step-by-step instructions

Print out all necessary prints. Heavier printer paper or construction paper is best, but this particular project works well even when it’s printed on regular printer paper.

You will need a normal looking turkey. Have children color in the printable with the sentence “I’m not a turkey, I’m…” or a printable with a turkey with a rectangle on top so it looks like a regular turkey.

Colored pencils, markers, or crayons all work great.

Have kids color the print with the snowman parts as well as another outline of the turkey.

The appearance of the turkey must have a white body. You can add details to the tail; we added some light blue accents to make the tail look like a pile of snow. The lines that make the tail look like an igloo also work well.

Now let’s disguise the turkey as a snowman. Hide your feet with a large snowball.

A large carrot hides the beak. Add finishing touches by adding buttons, twigs and a fancy looking hat on top.

Get a print with a regular-looking turkey. Make a fold along the dashed line.

Apply glue to the folded part, just below the turkey’s belly.

Now take the snowman and glue it onto the folded part, carefully aligning it with the turkey below.

Pretty cool, right?
