Türkiye in Disguise is a fun Thanksgiving activity based on the popular book Türkiye Trouble. The purpose of this activity is to disguise the turkey so that it will not be recognized and avoid becoming a successful dinner.

We’ve shared many fun characters, like mermaids and unicorns and now a disguise-sporting turkey that boys and girls will love joins the ranks.

This adorable football player disguised turkey hides behind a large helmet and jersey. No one will be able to recognize the turkey behind this outfit.

How to assemble a printable Turkish football player disguise template

What you need

  • our printable template – this is available as a free printable and you can grab it at the end – or you can choose our entire set of 25+ characters
  • color supplies
  • glue
  • drag

You can print this on regular printer paper, however we feel it works better on cardstock.

Color of accessories – football, jersey, helmet and shoes. If your child has a favorite team, they can choose colors that match, otherwise any color combination will work.

Print a sheet of paper with a picture of a turkey. We’ll use this as a disguise. First, let your child color the tail feathers. We chose green so the tail looks like a football field.

Because this camouflage covers all other parts, children don’t need to color them (but can if they want). Cut out this turkey and the camouflage football kit.

Disguise yourself. Apply glue to the turkey or parts of the camouflage.

First jersey…

And then there are all the other details, with optional football coming.

Now take the paper with the text overlay and have your child color it to look like a regular turkey. On that piece of paper there is a dotted line, you need to fold along that line.

Apply glue to the middle of the fold.

Disguise the football player’s turkey and stick it on top of the regular image.

Now this turkey can turn his camouflage on or off at any time! One second one turkey…

…and next is a football player. No turkeys here!
