Are your kids ready to fly a turkey into space? Print our disguised turkey into an astronaut printable and let your little one create a clever disguise.

We’re working hard on all the cute camouflage turkey printable projects we’ve prepared for you – this particular one is reaching for the stars (and it could be the our favorite project). Little stars your child can put on to camouflage the tail feathers will make all the difference.

Disguising a turkey is one of the most fun turkey crafts your kids can make for Thanksgiving. It’s creative and encourages writing (we’ve included writing prompts to make this an educational activity).

When making this craft, you can also take the opportunity to talk about important astronauts… Or encourage your child to make a craft that looks like Buzz Lightyear if your child is a fan of Toy Story.

How to Disguise Astronauts Türkiye

What you need:

  • Astronaut turkey disguise printable (free astronaut printable at the end of the tutorial; you can also get the whole set with over 25 outfits)
  • color supplies
  • drag
  • glue

We printed ours on thicker printer paper/cardboard, regular paper is fine too.

Step-by-step instructions

Have children pick out their favorite coloring supplies; be it crayons, markers or anything else – they will all work with this printable.

A sheet of paper must be colored to look like a normal turkey. Different browns, oranges, reds and yellows work really well for this.

Fold along the dotted line and set the paper aside.

Now is the time to disguise. Color the turkey’s tail to look like space; Black or blue are perfect for this.

Camouflage coloring. Cut out the camouflage parts as well as the turkey that you colored the tail to look like space.

Disguise yourself. Apply glue to each part and stick it on the turkey.

First is the outfit.

Next comes the helmet and boots.

To make the camouflage more convincing, add stars on the tail feathers.

Take the regular turkey-shaped paper that you folded earlier. Apply glue to the crease, right under the turkey’s belly.

Take the turkey disguised as an astronaut and stick it on top of the folded paper – placing it so it covers the turkey underneath.

All has been done! Now, this turkey can disguise himself as an astronaut at any time…

…as well as taking it off when no disguise is needed.
