Helping your child remember is an important skill.

This DIY memory game is so fun that no one will realize that they are learning.

This is the perfect game to keep kids active.

We love preparing all kinds of Crafts for kids (make worms in Apple Paper Craft or have fun with our Fruit Coloring Pages).

Whether you’re looking for a fun activity to do with your kids or you want to spend some fun time together, this DIY Memory Game is ideal.

Putting this activity together is fun for kids because they can draw their own artwork!

How to make this DIY memory game

What you need:

  • cardboard (beige, blue)
  • carton
  • drag
  • glue
  • pencil
  • ruler
  • tick

Gather all your documents as shown.

This activity is great because you don’t need too many items.

Step-by-step instructions

Cut a square out of cardboard.

Then make a square of the same size as the cardboard from beige and blue cardboard.

On the blue square, draw 4 x 4 equal squares.

Then cut out each window at the bottom, top and right – so the window can open from the right to the left.

Be careful not to cut out the entire square – it must leave the left side intact!

Draw the cardboard on beige paper.

Glue the beige sheet to cardboard.

Place the blue sheet on top.

Now draw in place of the windows.

Draw memory pairs in the window. You can have a lot of fun with this step.

For each window, you’ll want a match, so keep this in mind as you draw.

This memory game has examples of fruits as matching items, but you can draw whatever you like.

Paste with blue cardboard.

Square windows will be openable.

As you can see, when you open the little doors, your child can find matching pairs!

The result is a series of colorful works of art that you and your child will enjoy making together.

This DIY memory game will keep your kids busy for a while.

However, it’s also entertaining because creating the game is only half the fun!

You can choose any color paper you want.

And create lots of memory games with different items inside.

Have fun improving your memory skills while having fun!
