How to make a dog paper roll craft

What you need:

  • toilet paper roll
  • Printable template (optional)
  • drag
  • black marker
  • pencil
  • glue
  • black, red, body color paper
  • two types of brown paper
  • chocolate, or any small gift

Step by step instructions

Body

Start by taking a roll of toilet paper and cutting a piece of beige paper to the same size.

Glue a piece of beige paper to a toilet paper roll.

Glue it tightly to make sure it doesn’t fall off.

You will fold a section of toilet paper roll.

You can see how it is folded in the picture. You can glue it if needed.

Do both sides.

Head and tail

Cut out the pattern.

Draw the pattern on the paper of your choice.

Again, use the color you want for your dog.

The small nose can be cut out on a piece of black paper.

Now you will start putting the pieces together into the shape of a dog.

You can start by assembling the snout and one “dot” eye.

Stick it on your head.

Apply to dog’s muzzle and ears.

As you can see, the face is a combination of different colors.

Feel free to draw eyes!

Next, you will glue the face to the dog’s body.

Feel free to draw dots on the dog to make it look like a mustache.

Collar

Cut out a small red heart to make a collar for the dog.

Cut a long strip of brown paper.

Place the brown paper strip over the dog where the collar will be placed.

Cut off excess brown paper.

Add a small brown tail to the dog.

Glue the heart shaped piece to the dog’s neck as part of the collar.

Take a piece of chocolate and place it inside the dog’s butt.

Fold the toilet paper roll over to cover the chocolate.

The final image of the dog is below.

Give as much candy as you like.

You can make more using different colored papers.

Kids will love this surprise.
