If you need a perfect Easter craft idea then this little project is just the thing to do with your kids.

If your child enjoys coloring, use the black and white version, which can easily be used as an Easter Coloring Page, but if your child just wants to cut, paste, and craft, print out the pre-colored version.

How to Make Easter Basket Crafts

What you need:

Step by step instructions

Start by printing the template.

It is best to use cardstock (thicker printing paper). However, regular printer paper will also work.

If your child is working with the black and white version, have them color the template first as this is much easier than cutting out all the pieces first and then coloring them later.

After coloring or using a pre-colored template, cut out the pieces of the template.

Next is folding the basket.

Fold more.

Add a few more folds.

It’s time to start weaving. Take a strip and apply glue to one end.

Glue it to one end of the basket (at the bottom) and start knitting.

Weave it to the other side…

…and tape the end.

Repeat with all the other paper strips until your Easter basket is finished.

Now let’s make a stand for the paper eggs.

Fold the papers.

Apply glue to one end.

Add some glue to the “glue” part too. And stick the egg to the “glue” area.

You can put the eggs in the basket, glue the remaining egg paper to the top and stick it to the “side” of the basket.

Glue two eggs to the back and one egg to the front.

It should look like this.

Finally, add the handle…

And bow.

And there you have it, your handmade Easter basket is complete.
