We have another great Easter craft for preschool and kindergarteners to share with you – a paper Easter egg knitting craft (with pattern) that helps practice fine motor skills.
So fun and colorful!

We love crafts that bring something special to the table, and this quick and simple Easter craft idea will help practice both fine motor skills and scissor skills.
If you’re not comfortable (especially if this is a craft class) handing out scissors to kids and letting them cut their own, this craft idea is a low-prep idea, so even if you cut everything out beforehand, it shouldn’t take too long unless you have to make 100. We recommend getting someone to help :).
The more colored paper your kids use for this project, the more fun and creative it will be. Of course, the finished product will be beautiful even if you only use one color.
Ready to make one (or two) yourself? Let’s make one!
What you need:
Print out the Easter egg woven paper templates (available at the end of this tutorial).
Cut the eggs.
Fold along the middle – as indicated by the grey line.
When folding, make sure the printed side is facing out.
Cut along the dashed line.
Open.
Take the colored paper and cut it into thin strips.
Weave paper strips between paper strips on the Easter egg knitting pattern.
Once you have finished knitting them all, glue them to the egg at both ends.
Cut off excess paper.
With thousands of printable crafts, activities, worksheets, coloring pages, and drawing tutorials, you’ll always have the resources you need at your fingertips. Perfect for parents and teachers alike!
