Homemade Christmas cards don’t have to be complicated to look good. But we love it when they have a little shine (like adding a gold metallic accent) and a personal touch, especially if they’re made by kids (and that’s where the fingerprints come in).

In my honest opinion, handmade Christmas cards are fun for both the maker and the recipient. I cherish every card I receive, but the ones made with love are the ones that make me smile and keep in my drawer for years to come. They are special… They hold memories.

This fingerprint card is perfect to do with your child, this could be a suitable project to do with young children as early as toddlers (you draw and they get the fingerprint) while older children can complete this project on their own.

Not sure about finger painting? You can use a wine cork, cotton swab, stamp, or sponge brush (or any other painting material you can think of).

Ready? Let’s get artistic!

You can also draw a star on top of the tree.

Dip your finger in green paint and press it into the card, covering the Christmas tree.
