If you asked kids to name some of their favorite or most interesting animals in the world, we’re sure frogs would be on the list. There’s just something special about these slightly slimy amphibians.

Frogs are also a very popular theme in kindergarten and preschool and these puppets are a great addition to a frog lesson.

Look how happy this guy acts.

How to make a frog clothespin

What you need:

Step by step instructions

Start by printing out the template. We’ll show you how to make a mess using the black and white template.

We recommend printing your tangles on thicker paper (or even laminated) for more durability.

For the black and white version, have your child color the puppet first.

Once your child is happy with their colors, cut out the puppet.

Also, cut along the mouth line to separate the body and the top of the head.

Apply glue to the clothespin.

Stick it on your head…

And the body…

Be careful not to get the clothespin stuck.

Done! Your clothespin frog puppets are ready to play.
