Halloween Spider Craft Template

Halloween is the time of year when scary reptiles are most popular; Grab our fun Halloween spider craft template and create a fun 3D Halloween craft with your kids.

Spiders don’t have to be scary and our spiders certainly aren’t either. This eight-legged friend can be made at home or as a Halloween classroom activity (it will look great on a bulletin board).

How about this for a fun twist? Teach them how to draw a spider or cobweb, then dive into our Halloween coloring pages to keep the spooky spirits alive!

But that’s a story for another time, let’s get back to our Halloween spider craft template and how to use it.

How to make Halloween spiderman crafts

What you need:

  • printable template
  • pencil
  • drag
  • glue
  • coloring supplies (crayons, crayons, pencils – whatever medium your child prefers)
  • colored paper (purple is also nice but any color is interesting).

Step-by-step instructions

Print out the Halloween Spiderman craft template.

Spider pattern

Let’s start by coloring the picture. Markers are great, but any other medium works well (colored pencils are a popular choice).

Your child can color the spider’s body the same color as the paper they will use to make the body, or they can color it a different color.

Let’s see how friendly our spider looks?

Next, it’s time to color the legs. This is a good opportunity to talk about how spiders have eight legs, unlike most other insects.

This step is optional – you can ask your child to cut along the frame or leave the paper intact.

Spider’s body

Cut a circle from the instructions page (or print the page with multiple circles directly on colored paper).

Have children draw circles on colored paper.

They will need at least four circles, but they can make more.

Next, have them cut out the circles.

Next, the circles need to be folded in half.

Fold them all up.

Have your child apply glue to one half of the circle and glue that part to the spider template.

To begin building the body, children must apply glue to the half of the fold they just glued.

Then, glue the second folded circle onto it.

Rinse and repeat until all circles are glued to the pattern.

Halloween spider craft is complete!

We love how it turned out!

You can hang this masterpiece on your wall or if you made this in the classroom, display it on a fun Halloween bulletin board.

Have fun making Halloween crafts!
